Office Auto Attendant
Challenge: A dog trainer has a small rural office and he travels often to different hotels. He trains dogs to find bed bugs for hotels and then he has to bring his dogs all over the country. His main number rings in his small rural office and there is rarely anyone there to answer. He has three other people that help that basically work from their cell phones. He wanted his phone to ring at his office, and if no one answered he wanted the caller to be given to an automated attendant phone system which would route the calls to him and his people in the field. He was constantly missing business and he needed to have a way to answer his calls as quickly as possible. He also wanted a toll free number so people would think that he was a national business because he was willing to travel, and lived in a very small town.
Solution: I told the owner of the business that even though he lives in rural American, we service people in small towns all over the US. We set him up a 4 extension automated attendant phone system that would give his customers a greeting and then route the calls to 4 different people. We also let him look up/find a toll free vanity number which he could advertise nationally, and ordered it for him. We conference called with him to setup the feature with his phone company that would allow for us to pick up if no one answered or if the line was busy. This way, the caller could have options and press a button to get to a live person who could answer their questions.
Results: The customer now has more business than he even knew existed and had to hire more people. The toll free vanity number was an instant hit and he had calls from all over the country. When he hires more people, he calls us and we just add another extension to his office automated attendant phone system. His small rural business is flourishing because his callers are always able to get hold of someone and get their questions answered and make appointments for services.
