Challenge: A customer called me from New York. He had a fashion and design boutique in the city. He already had an Auto-Attendant and a 212 number for his boutique, but the carrier of his Virtual PBX was headed another direction and they told him that his service would be ending as of March 30th of this year. He was extremely worried because he wanted the same type of Auto-Attendant Phone System and he wanted to keep his phone number that he had advertised for years. For this customer we would need to use Virtual PBX Porting procedures.
Solution: I called his 212 number and listened to his current Auto-Attendant. It was a simple three extension program, so I determined that he would need the Direct Receptionist 1 package. I also told him that we could port the 212 number to our service, and if he didn’t like our service he was free to port it away from us. It was a win-win situation for him. I submitted a port order to acquire the 212 number and we moved the number to AccessDirect and replicated his previous Auto-Attendant. The only difference is that our Auto-Attendant includes fax-to-email which he did not have with his old carrier.
Results: The customer was extremely happy that AccessDirect made the number porting process and the setting up process so simple. He was very anxious when he found out that his old company was planning on discontinuing his services, but after he called AccessDirect he felt that the burden was gone. AccessDirect quickly solved his problem, replicated his Auto-Attendant, professionally recorded it for free, and successfully moved his existing number so he could keep the number he had for over ten years. The fashion boutique owner is thrilled with our services and our customer service!
